Two Businessmen

Higher Education SAP S/4 HANA

Legacy migration to SAP S/4 HANA Cloud for FI. Provided technical support. This is a summary of the services provided:

  • Migrated Legacy data using Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC) to convert Internal Orders.

  • Used Eclipse (ADT) to create AMDP and CDS views to support RICEF objects.

  • Developed Automated Revenue Recognition Journal Entry application that calculates accrued and deferred revenue postings for Funds and Grants. The calculations will be used to create two journal entries. Due to the high volume of records processed an AMDP Method was used to increase performance. The report can be run online and in batch depending on volume of data.

  • Created screen painter application using table controls to allow maintenance of a custom table. Created Update task for updates. Created Custom Search Helps additionally.

  • Modified screen maintenance applications generated (via SE11) for custom tables to meet specification requirements, created custom transaction to execute the maintenance.

  • Developed Fiori App for Fixed Assets. This report uses a FIORI template display using CDS view, ODATA and WebIDE.

  • Created a Notification Workflow for Closing of Grants.

  • Created approval workflow for the creation of Grants BUS0035. Added Attribute to the BOR object to allow for a condition based starting event on the attribute.

  • Created Budget approval workflow for pre-posted budgets for Grants BUS0036. Added Attribute to the BOR object to allow for a condition based starting event on the attribute.

  • Created workflow for Budget Control Systems within FM. This required a Custom version of BOR object BUS0050 to support approvals at the item level.

  • Created workflow for Earmarked Funds posting within FM. This required a Custom version of BOR object FMRE to support approvals at the item level.

Small Business Support

This small business was using SAP Business One and needed to upgrade. However, their server hardware and software was out of date. We upgraded the server replacing two Dell older servers with a larger capacity Dell server.
We migrated them from an old version of VMWare to Microsoft Server 2019 Hyper-V. Upgraded all of their DNS servers to Microsoft Server 2019. Migrated all of their VM's of which was SAP Business One to run on Microsoft Server 2019.
We upgraded all of their Dell workstations to 16 gig of memory and to use an SSD in place of a hard drive. This increased overall productivity tremendously. We setup A VPN server so employee's could work remotely if needed in place of using LogMeIn. This was a huge benefit since it was completed just before COVID 19 hit. We created an internal Cloud to allow the sharing of business files automatically via OwnCloud.
